Words & Music by MGM in 1948 was a film loaded with talent from Gene Kelly to Lena Horne, Judy Garland and Perry Como. It’s anotherĀ film that I have yet to see, and yet I found myself drawn to one of the original newspaper adverts lettering. Why they later changed the lettering for the poster from this offbeat all capitals serif to a standardized gothic (readability I guess) just kills me.
It is a perfect example of wonderful lettering that should not be lost of forgotten, and as such is captured in our Glorious Song font.
