Kapture

Another amazing script sourced from the 1938 “Letters and Lettering” book, by Paul Carlyle and Guy Oring, this early version of the publication, Kapture originated from a collection of one line specimens of varying lettering styles all in the same quote, “Silence is a great peacemaker.” By no means was this a pangram, like “pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs,” using all of the letters of the alphabet, but it was still nonetheless a fantastic visual inspiration starting point.

Once again, I have to give Jim all the credit on this one, as he took the original specimen and fleshed it out to the super sexy script loaded with ligatures and flowing letterforms that it is today. This one came out just as amazing or better than the original specimen suggested.
