Forgive the lower quality of the resource image , but this old Minute Maid Orange Juice ad was the nugget of inspiration for our Maiden Orange Pro typeface.
Fun features from the original source that appealed to me when recreating this lettering style was the subtle bounce of the lettering, the wonderful “g”, and letters like the f, r, and t. It has a slight swagger that pushes it into more of a display font than a text font. And while there is nothing to suggest it at all from the original reference, there were some simple line hand-drawn framing elements that brought the idea of eventually making an inline version of Maiden Orange Pro. With such a simple visual, Maiden Orange Inline Pro was born!
